You should listen to all the Beatles albums to have a magical mystery experience of a life time. You'll see (or listen) the whole musical revolution, chord after chord. And when you're done for, it will feel like you were knocked sparko by geniuses.

Everything they did, well, at least 99,9% was made for the first time in music/art history (and copied ever since by other bands, especially The Rolling Stones). This remark is so obvious that you have Lennon saying it you in Dig a Pony, from Let it Be.

Studio albums

The official canon of Beatles studio albums consists of the original albums as released in their native UK from 1962 to 1970. The single exception is Magical Mystery Tour, which was released as a 6-song double EP in the UK, but as a longer 11-song LP in the U.S. (the LP included singles and B-sides released during that year). When the Beatles catalogue was released on CD in the 1980s, the longer U.S. version was chosen for release and is now considered a part of their official catalogue.

Only two of the EPs contained songs that were not also featured on their albums or singles: the Long Tall Sally EP, whose tracks can now be found on the Past Masters, Volume One CD, and the Magical Mystery Tour EP, whose tracks are on the Magical Mystery Tour CD album.
